This laser releases rapid pulses of energy that penetrate the skin and are drawn to the pigmentation of the dark hair in the follicles. The follicle and hair are destroyed by the laser energy leaving surrounding tissue minimally affected.

The laser creates a beam of high-intensity light that penetrates deep into the skin tissue where it delivers a controlled amount of therapeutic heat. The GentleLaseÂ® laser emits a cooling burst of cryogen to your skin before the actual laser light is generated. This allows for a comfortable treatment with minimal effect to the skin surface.

There is no preparation for laser hair removal treatment other than to avoid tweezing, waxing, excessive sunlight, and using cream depilatories in the areas to be treated.

Treatment sessions are usually between 5 and 45 minutes.

Treatments are scheduled at 6 week intervals to allow for the re-growth of hairs that were previously in a resting stage.
